Requesting a Commission
Every commission is carefully considered, the guides for accepting the commission are as follows:
-
What the commission request is
-
How soon it is needed
-
Size of the item
-
Product availability for commission requested (if I have to order products for the commission this must be considered. I am not a craft store, I don’t always have everything I need)
-
Amount of commission slots I have available for a commission request. (I am one person, and have a limited amount of slots available)
Typical time frames for the following Crochet items:
-
Blankets/Layette Baby sets: 3 months, minimum (maybe longer depending on the size)
-
Toys/Dolls: 6 weeks, minimum (maybe longer depending on the item and detail)
-
Hat’s/Headbands 3 weeks, minimum (maybe longer depending on item and amount)
-
Shawls/Wraps/Scarves: 2 months, minimum (maybe longer depending on the item and pattern)
Other Craft items:
-
Diamond Paintings
-
Resin Pieces
-
Clay Pieces
-
Beading
All the above items have different setting times so it depends on if I have the supplies and setting. I can’t give an ETA on these items specifically, but I like to try and get them out within 2 months or less.
Items I will NOT make:
-
I will not copy or make copyrighted items from places like Disney, Harry Potter and Star Wars.
-
I will not do geeky game content (again this is a licensed company, which means it’s under copyright, I will NOT put myself at risk. Anatomy inspired parts: male or female specific body parts (breasts, penis, buttocks)
There are tons of other artists out there that do this, contact one of them.
How the item price is calculated:
-
Price of the products used
-
Time spent creating products (I get paid like everyone else, my time matters too)
-
If I have to order the pattern, that is an added expense. I will use free patterns if they are available, but I typically like to support designers and buy their patterns.
